9:05 am - New Website
Hello All,
I wanted to tell you that my new website is launched at e-lockhart.com but my blog can still be found at the usual place: theboyfriendlist.com. (This is not my real blog! This is my livejournal account that I use to read my friends list. My real blog is syndicated on LJ here.)

Also: The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks is in stores now. And How to Be Bad arrives May 6.

Happy Spring!

Cheers!
As always, my real blog is NOT THIS THING YOU'RE READING
The real one is syndicated thru LJ at [info]elockhar

Something has gone off with my LJ feed again, for the typepad blog at
http://www.theboyfriendlist.com/e_lockhart_blog/

I don't know why. I have no idea how to fix it, alas. If you want to read my handwriting analysis, info on the school challenge to Catherine Atkins's book, and other stuff -- please go over there!

Happy holidays!

8:39 pm - New people on the Friends List
Okay, the [info]elockhar feed, which is my actual Typepad-hosted blog, is now running again, for those of you who were severely deprived of reading ridiculous memes, quizzes and musings on teen literature this past week or so.

New to my friends list:
[info]larbalestier -- novelist Justine Larbalestier, author of Magic or Madness
[info]sarazarr -- Sarah Zarr, author of the forthcoming Stories of a Girl
[info]hornbookfeed -- Roger Sutton, inimitable editor of The Horn Book magazine
[info]d_michiko_f -- Debbi Michiko Florence, writer and curator of a wonderful website with lots of author interviews, and
[info]jbknowles -- Jo Knowles, YA novelist and organizer of the all-live-journal-finish-your-book-by-December project
[info]cynthialord -- Cynthia Lord, author of Rules
[info]cynthialeitich -- Cynthia Leitich Smith, author of Rain is Not My Indian Name and creator of a blog in which she interviews nearly everyone in children's and YA literature

So, as you can tell I am procrastinating writing DramaRama, which is my next book (not the next to come out, next to be written) and which is actually turning out pretty funny. It is about summer drama camp.
But I am fiddling around reading all the above very entertaining journals, instead of actually writing it.

Something seems to have gone squidgy with [info]elockhar, my real blog's LJ syndication.
Sorry.
Posts about an article by Jon Sciezscka, the Quill Awards, and the National Book Award nominations have failed to go through -- and possibly others as well.

I think it has to do with this one post that I tried to date for a week from now and then tried to cancel, but which got syndicated. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon; I'm thinking maybe by Oct 21, which is the date of the strangely dated post.

In the meantime, you can visit the blog itself
here.

11:39 pm - Andrew Auseon and YAARC on the Friends List
[info]andrewauseon, the syndicated blog of Andrew Auseon, author of Funny Little Monkey, is now on my Friends list. Hurrah!

Also [info]yaarc, which is the syndication of a site for YALSA members and other YA literature folks, where people can exchange copies of Advance Reader Copies. It's fun to read, even if you never sign up for a single book, because you get a glimpse of what's coming out next season.

P.S. My regular blog, as always is at
http://www.theboyfriendlist.com/e_lockhart_blog/
and syndicated at [info]elockhar --
as opposed to this LJ, which is [info]e_lockhart and only functions to allow me to comment and organize a Friends list
AND as opposed to a syndication that has mysteriously appeared for the main page of my website, which almost never changes, which is [info]elockhart and completely not worth your while.

Sorry that's so confusing. [info]elockhar is the one to bother with. That's what I'm saying.

[info]cawriter, AKA Catherine Atkins, author of Alt Ed and When Jeff Comes Home, now on the friends list -- which is all published novelists writing for teens, or people specifically involved with young adult literature.

My regular blog is not this. LJ syndication for it is: [info]elockhar

8:01 pm - Yet More Additions to the Friends List
I've added three new people to the friends list in the past couple weeks:

1)[info]lisayee, author of Millicent Min, Girl Genius

2)the YA literature blog "Avenging Sybil" -- which specifically addresses the representation of female sexuality in teen fiction ([info]avengingsybil)

3) [info]connorgal, whose blog is focused on YA fiction, including lots on LGBT subjects and issues

And to repeat what's said already below, the LJ is just for purposes of the friends list, which is all teen fiction-related. Go to the [info]yawriterblogs community to find even more blogs on similar topics.

My regular blog is at
http://www.theboyfriendlist.com/e_lockhart_blog/
or check out the LJ syndication at [info]elockhar

Cheers!

4:33 am - Adding Melissa Wyatt
I added Melissa Wyatt, [info]melissawyatt author of Raising the Griffin.

So: My friends list is now officially rockin' -- but the real and best place to go if you want to read blogs by YA novelists is [info]yawriterblogs, which is an LJ community created by Lara Zeises [info]zeisgeist, that lists all the YA writer blogs out there on the internet.

Just added Tanya Lee Stone (author of A Bad Boy Can Be Good for a Girl) and Marlene Perez (author of Unexpected Development) to the friends list. As usual, the list is all authors who write for teenagers -- plus a couple people particularly concerned with the teen book market.

7:32 am - Friending my actual Blog
Thanks to the wonderful, glamorous [info]sdn, there's now an LJ syndication for my actual blog.
The blog lives here
http://www.theboyfriendlist.com/e_lockhart_blog/
and it has lots of sidebar-y things and a poll, and book excerpts and stuff that doesn't go into the blog entries,
but now, if you want, you can get the blog entries on your Friends list -- rather than just the boring little updates I put on this LJ site.

Click on the link below, and then just add it! Thanks, Sharyn.
